Luka Doncic’s Triple-Double Not Enough as Mavericks Fall to Celtics

Jayson Tatum’s five 3-pointers and 32 points led the Boston Celtics to a 138-110 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, extending their winning streak to 10 games. Jaylen Brown contributed 25 points and seven rebounds as the Celtics Һit 21 threes, improving to an NBA-best 47-12. Tatum, with just two points in the first quarter, marked his 22nd game this season with at least 30 points.

Luka Doncic recorded his 12th triple-double of the season with 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, but it wasn’t enough for the Mavericks, who struggled from the 3-point line, shooting 9 of 34. Kyrie Irving added 19 points for Dallas, but faced boos from the Boston crowd due to his previous tenure with the Celtics.

Boston capitalized on their strong shooting, closing out the game with a dominant 36-20 fourth quarter after a close third quarter. Mavericks’ coach Jason Kidd emphasized the importance of defensive consistency against the Celtics’ sharpshooters.

Dante Exum returned for the Mavericks after a long ιnjury layoff, contributing four points in 15 minutes. Despite Kristaps Porzingis’ early scoring, Dallas trailed by just seven at halftime, largely due to Doncic’s efforts.
