Celtics’ Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are confident in themselves: ‘We’re 2 of the Hungгιest Players’ in NBA

The dynamic pair from the Boston Celtics has played a pivotal role in the team’s remarkable 48-12 record, the most outstanding in the NBA. Tatum contends that their mutual determination to enhance their skills distinguishes them from other star duos in the league.

“Going into this season, we try and take the same approach: I’m getting better and he’s getting better,” Tatum said, via The Players’ Tribune. “It’s not like we’re staying the same. We’re two of the hungгιest players in the league.”

Since 2017, the two All-Stars have been teammates, selected with the No. 3 overall pick in consecutive drafts. Over the years, they have grown and progressed together, consistently making playoff appearances in each season of their tenure in the league.

Despite reaching Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals and putting up a strong fιɡҺt against the Golden State Waггiors, Tatum and Brown fell short of securing a championship. However, with the notable contributions of players like Derrick White and Kristaps Porzingis in supportive roles during the 2023-24 season, the Celtics seem poised for another significant postseason journey.

In their seventh year as teammates, both Brown and Tatum have demonstrated increased efficiency, boasting shooting percentages of 50.2 percent and 47.8 percent from the field, respectively. These figures mark the highest efficiency levels of their respective careers.

“Everything we do, we compete in a good way — I’m pushing him, we play one-on-one after practice,” Tatum said. “I think the next step for us is feeding off each other more in a game.”

The duo has consistently outperformed adversaries, guiding the Celtics to their third victory of the season with a 50-point margin, as seen in their 140-88 triumph over the Waггiors on Sunday.
