On February 16, 1923, Lord Carnarvon and the renowned English archaeologist Howard Carter first entered the β€˜cursed’ burial site of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, where they had discovered his tomb.

Notably, eight of the 58 individuals in attendance at the unveiling of Tutankhamun’s long-lost mausoleum perished within a span of twelve years.
