Amad signs an extension to his contract which sees him stay at the club until 2030.

Since joining United from Atalanta in 2021 for £19 million, plus an additional £18.2 million in add-ons, Diallo has made 50 appearances and scored nine goals. Expressing his pride in the new contract, Diallo stated, “I have had some incredible moments with this club already, but there is so much more to come. I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to achieve history at Manchester United.”

The winger reflected on his journey since arriving at the club as an 18-year-old, thanking the coaches, staff, and fans for their support. He acknowledged the challenges of the current season but expressed confidence in the team’s future.

Jason Wilcox, United’s technical director, praised Diallo’s development, highlighting his quality, versatility, and determination as key attributes for the club’s future success. “The best years of his career are ahead of him,” he added.

Diallo’s early days at United were challenging, with limited appearances in his first three seasons and a mixed loan spell at Rangers. However, he excelled during his loan at Sunderland in the 2022-23 season, scoring 14 goals in 42 appearances. After returning to United, he faced initial injury setbacks but began to feature more regularly, culminating in a memorable last-minute winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

This season, Diallo has already contributed six goals and seven assists, despite United’s struggles. He has become a favorite of Amorim, playing every game since the manager’s appointment and adapting well to the team’s 3-4-3 system.

Amorim praised Diallo’s talent while noting areas for improvement, particularly in physical conditioning, stating, “He is really big in talent, but small in size.” He emphasized the need for Diallo to continue enhancing his game to reach his full potential.
